[music |Howie Day- She Says]

Well, it’s been an interesting week. Let’s see…for the past well, one week, I’ve been meeting my friend Aaron in Middlebury at the Ben Franklin to just talk and hang out on Monday’s and Wednesday’s. It’s very strange to meet someone that is so random, kind of like me. It’s really funny because one of us will start to tell a story and then it’ll never get finished because we go off on all these different tangents. It’s so funny. And strange.
So, yesterday, that was Wednesday, after class (which is going well…) I went to see him and he was sad because I had to leave. It was sad. But I’ll see him tomorrow. Which is good.

Let’s see…work is going well…next week I’m working all five days…yes, Wednesday through Sunday. That’s a long week for me. Yes. It really is. And this weekend I’m working from Friday to Sunday, but I’m making Moriah work for me on Friday so that I can go to Ashley’s house to paint her room and eat Indian and have fun and stuff. But, I’ll have to leave early to come back home to go with the mother to Burlington. I’m getting the fabric for the prom dress I’m MAKING. It’s very very exciting. It’s from 1954 Vintage Vogue. It’s so pretty. And I’m so excited. Hurray. So, that’ll be fun. Yeah.

Today I cleaned my sister’s room so it’ll be all clean when she gets home. I spent two hours on the beaut. It was super dirty. And now it’s clean. Also, in my never-ending search for clean, I was cleaning Ralphie’s (my super cool hamster) cage, so I put him in his little ball, as usual, but this time, I put him in Heidi’s room so he could run around and have fun. So, I was downstairs gagging at the terrible smell of the cage, when I stopped hearing his little ball running around. I didn’t think anything of it, until I got upstairs and realized that his ball was empty. Yes, Ralphie got out. I couldn’t believe it. So, I got off the telephone and was on my knees looking for the little guy. I was having terrible thoughts of what could happen to him when I saw him, cornered him, and captured him in his little ball. I sure am glad the door was shut, or I could still be looking for the little freak. So, that was exciting.

And then I went to the store to get Gouda. But they didn’t have any. It was sad.

In the less than a year that I’ve had my license, I’ve never hit an animal, although I came close last night. Poor little chippy. It was super sad. And I’m sad that Sarah is becoming such a small-animal-destroyer. I don’t know how she does it. It’s so sad. She will now be called SAD. For Small-Animal-Destroyer. Yes. I made that up. Hahaha. I’m so witty. And I still love you, Sarah, I mean SAD. Haha. I love it.

Well, I have much more important things to do…haha. I love how I can entertain myself so easily.

BUT…before I go…some speculations that are either a) not being told to the person by me or b) being denied by the person to me.

1. Heidi is either dating Drew or having sex with Drew, and/or dating Ben or having sex with Ben.

And that’s all for right now. But, I’ll have more. later.

[music |Jay-Z - The Black Album (hahahaha...I know...)]

So! Things have been going very well lately...yes yes yes. Senior year is excellent. I started my Middlebury College class on Monday…it was really good…we got to leave early, which is always good for me. My teacher is really nice and co-wrote the textbook, which is really cool. And she’s really young. Every class (Mondays and Wednesdays) we have to read two chapters then write a paper about it, and hand it in electronically, which is a problem for me because I’m not a Middlebury College student, and I don’t have a Midd ID and such, which I need for the class, so I’m going to visit Richard (hooray!) after my class. And on Friday I go to my discussion, which is at the same time in a different room. The class has about 60 people in it and I was very scared when I went for my first class…I feel better now that I know that I know more than the people in there because I took psychology last semester…which is a good thing and makes me very happy.

All my other classes are going well, especially now that Mr. AP English hasn’t been coming to class, which means that I don’t go to class…every senior should be allowed to sleep in until 10. It’s so great. I love it.

Lately I’ve been obsessed with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Anyone else?

Well, I have lots of boring psychology work to do…:)

UPDATE TIME, shupdate time. hahaha. I'm soooo witty. [Jan. 30th, 2004|02:00 am]

[music |Howie Day]

okay, so. this will be the official college update. I sent out all my applications yesterday. so, that's done. In the end, I applied to: Hampshire (MA), Antioch (OH), Colby-Sawyer College (NH), Franklin Pierce (NH), University of Vermont (VT - duh!), and New England College (NH). Now, I do have very good reasons for each. Hampshire I fell in love with when I visited it, Antioch seems a lot like Hampshire but I haven't been there yet, Colby-Sawyer is a good school with a beautiful campus, my mother told me I should apply to Franklin Pierce, I needed a safe school, so UVM did the trick, and if I applied to New England College, I could get a free t-shirt. Okay, so maybe the application to NEC wasn't the best idea, but I did get the shirt...and the acceptance. yes, I've been accepted to college. and yesterday...I got a 10,000 dollar scholarship to study psychology there. so, it's looking better and better. I think I'm going to go visit it so I can see what it looks like and such. But, if they are going to give me money (I'm also looking for a field hockey scholarship....wishful thinking?) then I should go there...and go to graduate school somewhere like UVM, or somewhere really really good...maybe Harvard. haha. but, I want to get my Ph.D., so this should be fun. I think I'll wait to see where else I get accepted before I make my FINAL choice, but $10,000 is a lot of money. ANY INSIGHT???!!

Here's to an intersting week! [Jan. 24th, 2004|10:26 am]
[mood | high]
[music |Howie Day - Beatles Cover]

WELL! I've decided to post because I'll have so much free time on my hands this semester...and maybe I'll make it a common thing. So. I'm looking forward to next semester...I'll only have four classes. That is AP History, AP English, Shakespeare, and sociology. I'll also be taking a class at Middlebury College, hopefully psychology...because...that's what I've decided to do with my life. It’s really strange, you know? Just to wake up one day and think, yeah, that's what I want to do with my life. Just imagine...Dr. Aimee Neil...haha. That’s too funny! But, I first have to finish getting into college first. I only have three more applications to finish. Horary. I've already gotten into one school...New England College...that would be the one I applied to for the free t-shirt. And I got it...and they sent me a letter saying they need my letter of recommendation and my transcript, and then they sent me a letter saying I was accepted. it was very strange.

So, the highlight of my day today was when I went to see Tim at work. Tim is my favorite work person...he's so funny. If you don't know who Tim is, he is a bald, 40-something Mr. Clean. He’s so great. Oh man. He just went on vacation, and he got back a few days ago...and I missed him so much. I haven't seen him in like three weeks. And it was so great to see him. He’s so great. It was so wonderful. And I told my mom...and she was like: WHAT!!?? You like him in a friend-way, right??? It was really funny.

Well, I think that's all for now...but, I'll try to be better at this thing. I really will. I promise.

P.S. I weeded out my LJ...it's now all recent entries...I've left it at three...so. It makes me happy. so that's good.

[music |Ani Difranco]

okay, the other night I was on the telephone with well, it doesn't matter who it was with. but, I was on the telephone with him and the song "old old song" by (who else?) Ani Difranco comes on. and the lyrics go like this: "The first person in your life to ever really matter / is saying the last thing that you want to hear..." and then he tells me he's thinking of joining the army. it was weird.
